1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Nephi's Gate, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Nephi's Gate is a productivity and spiritual habit app that helps users build a daily Book of Mormon reading habit. The App uses Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) API to restrict access to selected apps until a daily reading goal is met. The App includes a built-in Book of Mormon reader, a reading timer, streak tracking, and optional reminders.

3. Subscriptions and Purchases

Free and paid features

Nephi's Gate is free to download. Certain features, including app-blocking functionality, require an active subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase.

Billing

Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID on a monthly, annual, or lifetime basis as selected at the time of purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase.

Renewal and cancellation

Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions at any time through your Apple ID account settings.

Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple and are subject to Apple's refund policy.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to circumvent or disable App functionality through unauthorized means
• Redistribute or resell the App or any portion of it

5. Screen Time and App Restrictions

Nephi's Gate uses Apple's Family Controls framework to apply app restrictions on your device. By granting this permission, you authorize the App to restrict and unrestrict access to apps you have selected. This functionality requires iOS 16 or later.

The app-blocking feature is intended as a personal accountability tool. You retain the ability to modify or revoke these restrictions at any time through iOS Settings.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, graphics, text, and code, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The Book of Mormon text included in the App is in the public domain.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Use of the App is at your sole risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
