1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

Nephi's Gate asks for your first name during onboarding to personalize your experience. This name is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us.

Usage and progress data

Your reading progress, daily streaks, goal settings, reset time, and reminder preferences are stored locally on your device using iOS standard storage (UserDefaults and local files). This data does not leave your device unless you enable iCloud Sync.

iCloud Sync (optional)

If you choose to enable iCloud Sync, your settings and reading progress are backed up to your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit framework. This data is stored in your own iCloud account and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

Screen Time / Family Controls

Nephi's Gate uses Apple's Family Controls framework to apply app restrictions on your device. The list of apps you select to block is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to us or any third party.

Purchases

Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your payment information. Purchase history is managed through your Apple ID and governed by Apple's Terms of Sale.

Notifications

If you opt in to daily reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device. These are generated locally and do not involve any external servers or data transmission.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit:

• Your name, email address, or any account credentials
• Your location data
• Your browsing history or app usage outside of Nephi's Gate
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Any analytics or crash reporting data

We operate no servers that receive personal data from the app. There is no user account or sign-in associated with Nephi's Gate.

3. Third-Party Services

Nephi's Gate integrates with the following Apple platform services, each governed by Apple's own privacy practices:

• App Store / StoreKit — for subscription and purchase processing
• CloudKit / iCloud — for optional data backup (opt-in only)
• Family Controls / Screen Time — for app restriction functionality
• UserNotifications — for local reminder notifications

We do not use any third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs.

4. Children's Privacy

Nephi's Gate is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Because we collect no personal data at all, the app is inherently safe for users of all ages. If you have concerns, please contact us at nephisgate@shiblon.com.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

All data is stored on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app. If you enabled iCloud Sync, you can delete your iCloud data at any time through iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage. There is no account to delete because we hold no data on our end.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
